Yes. After any significant seismic event, you should have your chimney inspected before using it again. Earthquakes can crack flue liners, shift chimney sections, and create hidden damage that isn’t visible from the outside. Our technicians perform Level 2 chimney inspections that include a video scan of the interior flue to check for cracks, separations, and structural damage. If you’ve felt a significant quake, call us to schedule an inspection before your next fire.

At minimum, once a year—and always after a significant earthquake. If you burn wood regularly, annual inspections are essential to catch creosote buildup, cracked flue liners, and other issues before they become safety hazards. Gas fireplaces should also be inspected annually, though they produce less buildup. Our chimney inspection services include a full interior and exterior assessment.

Both. Most hearth shops only sell fireplaces and stoves. We also inspect and repair the chimneys they connect to—it’s one of the things that makes us a true one-stop shop. If we find damage during an inspection, we can handle the repair in-house. No need to call a second company.
